Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna Overview

Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana (DDJAY) is an Affordable Plotted Housing Policy-2016 by the Govt. of Haryana aimed at encouraging the development of low rise plotted colonies. it allows private developers to build communities on land parcel above 5 acres. 

A standout feature of this policy is the permission to construct and separately register up to 4 independent floors + Stilt parking on each plot.

The Governor of Haryana is pleased to publish the following ‘Affordable Plotted Housing Policy 2016 Memo No. PF-27A/ 2700 Date: 08/02/2016 for Low and Medium Potential Towns’ known as ”Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana” under the provisions of Section 9A of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975 and any other corresponding statute governing development of plotted housing colonies on the subject:-

To incentivize builders, the government waives or significantly reduces land conversion (CLU) charges, infrastructure development charges (IDC), and license fees.

This policy shall be known as ‘‘Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana’’. This policy is intended to encourage the development of high density plotted colonies in Low and Medium Potential towns of the State wherein small plots are made available through a liberal policy framework.
